Why does the Giclee print come with a 1” border around the image?

Allowing 1” of extra margin allows you or your framer to more easily position and fasten the print behind a mat within a frame.

Most mats are sized slightly smaller than the print size itself. For example, a window for an 8”x10” frame is actually sized at 7.5”x9.5”, leaving very little room for tape or other attachments. Providing an extra inch on all sides makes the mounting of your print much easier.

What is the difference between the Fine Art Prints and Giclee Prints?

Fine Art Prints are printed on Kodak Professional Endura Premier Paper. This paper has an extraordinary color gamut and state-of-the art image stability with a lovely subtle satin gloss finish.

Giclee Prints are printed on matte archival watercolor paper using Epson Ultrachrome HDR pigment inks on Epson Stylus Pro 9900 printers. The watercolor paper is Somerset Velvet, an acid-free 100% cotton rag paper.
